Serbia’s Infrastructure Minister Zorana Mihajlovic told reporters in Novi Sad on Monday that ongoing infrastructure projects in the northern Vojvodina province were worth 2.6 billion Euros.

Speaking after a session of a working group coordinating infrastructure projects in Vojvodina, the minister said that 15 billion Dinars (1 Euro – 119 Dinars) had been invested by the Putevi Srbije government-owned roads company into the reconstruction of old and plans for new roads and railways in the province.

She said new water supply plants would be built in several towns along with the reconstruction of existing plants.

Vojvodina government chief Igor Mirovic said his cabinet’s priorities were a highway between Novi Sad, Zrenjanin and Belgrade and the road corridor across Mount Fruska Gora which he said will be built by the Chinese CRBC company.
