Pristina media reported that a coach operated by a company from Kosovo had been attacked in transit through Serbia, drawing condemnation from Kosovo Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli.
The media reports did not specify the name of the coach company nor where in Serbia it was attacked.
“The attack against a Kosovo company coach, luckily without any injuries, while transiting the territory of the neighbouring country of Serbia is unacceptable and should be immediatelly condemned by the European Union, international community and institutions in Serbia,” Pacolli is reported to have said by the koha.net portal.
He said Serbia’s security institutions should learn a lesson in professionalism as demonstrated by the Kosovo Police during Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic’s visit.
The CEO of the Barileva Turist company Naser Januzi denied that his company’s coach was attacked while driving through Serbia. He said a window on the bus was damaged by a stone which was bounced from the tires of a truck in front of the coach. “We informed the police. There was no provocation or intent, the police helped us,” he said.
