The meeting of the US and Russian Presidents won’t result in Moscow recognizing Kosovo and Washington recognizing the Crimea as Russian territory, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said on Wednesday.

The Foreign Minister told the Serbian state TV (RTS) that Presidents Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin probably won’t discuss Kosovo at all at their July 16 meeting in Helsinki, dismissing media reports about an agreement on Kosovo and the Crimean peninsula.

“Those are empty stories but Serbia will certainly be listening to information from every side, analyzing it and guessing what is happening in international circles which means that it should continue the policy of dialogue with its neighbours and with Pristina,” Dacic said.

The Serbian Foreign Minister said no lasting solution for Kosovo can be expected without the involvement of the US and Russia. “I think the American administration, Russia and other big countries should be given a win-win proposal in which everyone gets something and everyone looses something and that is political skill,” Dacic said.

According to him the Albanians are no longer the favourites in international circles and are in no position to make threats. “To be more direct, everyone has had enough of them,” Dacic said.
