The AmRest company said on Monday that it would be opening the first Starbucks store in Serbia by the end of 2018.

“The first Starbucks store will be opened in Belgrade later this year, the city with a long coffee-loving history. AmRest is the lead operator of Starbucks stores in the Central European (CE) region and Serbia will be another new market for the company to open the first Starbucks store,” a company statement said.

The statement quotes AmRest's Starbucks President Adam Mularuk as saying that AmRest is very happy to bring the Starbucks Experience to Serbian customers. “This country has a rich coffee culture and we look forward to being a part of it, providing a place where customers can enjoy high quality coffee and discover our passion,” he said.

ArmRest said that it has opened more than 300 Starbucks stores in 7 countries since it opened the first store in Prague in 2008. Starbucks Coffee Company was formed in 1971 and now has more than 28,000 stores all over the world.
