Two Serb children were injured in Wednesday’s incident in the Kosovo village of Staro Gracko, the Kosovo state TV (RTK) reported.
The RTK said the Serb children were injured when the police intervened using pepper spray to break up a fight.
Local villager Milivoje Matovic told the station that the incident started with an argument between his sister in law and mother and the local Albanian police chief’s son and escalated when his brother and the Albanian started trading punches.
A police officer used his pepper spray on the Matovic brothers and sprayed the five month old baby and her five year old brother. Matovic’s brother was arrested after both men received medical treatment.
Staro Gracko is a Serb enclave in the Lipljan municipality in the south of Kosovo and is known for the July, 1999 murder of 14 farmers harvesting wheat.
