Ana Brnabic, Serbia’s Prime Minister, will act as the finance minister in the next two weeks until a new one is elected in the parliament, following the resignation of Dusan Vujovic.
Vujovic, a politically independent world-known economic expert, resigned on May 7 citing private reasons.
Brnabic has two weeks from Wednesday to recommend a new minister to the parliament.
Vujovic’s resignation came amid rumours about the government reshuffle. He served as the finance minister for four years.
