A high-ranking Serbian police officer received the French police medal of honor Echelon Or at a ceremony in the French embassy in Belgrade on Wednesday.
The Serbian Police Director’s bureau chief Nemanja Bojicic was presented the award for contributing to the strengthening of operational and technical exchanges between the Serbian and French police. Those contributions were made thanks to strong ties and trust between Bojicic and the embassy’s internal security attache Filip Felix-Uncanin, Ambassador Frédéric Mondoloni said at the ceremony.
The French award was created in 1903 for police officers who conducted successful operations or had completed 20 years of active service. An embassy press release said the award can be given in exceptional circumstances to foreign police officers.
