Bulgarian Prime Minister Bojko Borisov has said that the peace in the Western Balkans is in everybody's interest and that the regional countries belong to the European Union.
Speaking at a press conference in Pristina, Kosovo’s capital, Borisov said the EU was open to all the East European countries, Beta news agency reported.
“These countries obviously have to fulfil the EU terms for the membership”, Borisov said after meeting Kosovo’s President Hashim Thaci.
Thaci said the two discussed the cooperation between Sofia and Pristina, as well as Kosovo’s European perspective.
“The EU will be complete only when Kosovo and the other Western Balkans’ countries become a part of it”, Beta quoted him as saying.
Referring to the Belgrade – Pristina dialogue, Tachi said that Kosovo wanted not only to continue the talks but to turn it into the process of reconciliation and sustainable peace in the region.
