Russian Railways opened a regional information office and training centre in Belgrade, with Russian Deputy Railways Director Sergei Pavlov, Serbia's Minister of Transport, Construction and Infrastructure Tomislav Momirovic and Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Bocan Harchenko witnessing the ceremony on Tuesday.

"The Russian company has successfully carried out railway projects in Serbia since 2013," Pavlov said, as quoted by his company.

He added: "We have built and reconstructed more than 200 kilometres of railways, or about five percent of the entire network."
