The Republic Statistics Office (RZS) said on Friday that industrial production in Serbia in September was 4.6 percent higher than in the same month of 2019 and was 7.9 percent higher than last year’s average.
Industrial production in the January-September period was 0.2 lower than in the same period of 2019. Industrial production in September 2020 compared to the same month a year earlier rose in 20 industries which account for 81 percent of all industrial production with a drop reported in the remaining nine industries.
The seasonally adjusted industrial production index in September 2020 showed a rise of 4.2 percent compared to the 2019 average and of four percent for the processing industry. The seasonally adjusted industrial production index for September compared to August 2020 showed a 0.6 percent drop in industrial production with a 0.1 percent drop in the processing industry.
