North Macedonia will deploy troops to Germany and Romania in September for joint NATO exercises, the government in Skoplje said on Tuesday.

Two groups of 15 military personnel each will be deployed to Germany for the COMBINED RESOLVE XIV exercise from September 1 to 29 and to Romania for the CARPATHIAN EAGLE exercise on September 14 to 27, a press release said.

The government also approved the deployment of 170 US and 10 Polish KFOR troops to the Krivolak military training ground for a joint exercise with North Macedonia Army personnel from August 19 to September 25.

North Macedonia became the 30th NATO member state on March 27, 2020.
