Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti announced he would soon receive a report on the situation in Karacevo village, where a representative of the Self-determination party claimed to see the officers of Serbia's Gendarmery, the KoSSev news portal reported.
“Our citizens in that part will not be left without the protection of institutions. We will carry out the activities in line with the Constitution and laws, and they will all be coordinated with the security mechanisms in the country,” Hoti wrote on Facebook.
Self-determination member, Mefail Bajqinovci, published on Friday a video from Karacevo near the Kosovska Kamenica town which, according to him, shows the officers of Serbia's Gendarmery.
He urged Kosovo's law enforcement agencies to react towards the “protection of citizens, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kosovo.”
Kosovo institutions have not confirmed the event, according to the KoSSev news portal, which wrote that this was not the first time that Kosovo media reported on the alleged presence of Serbia's Gendarmery on those territories.
