The new North Macedonia’s Parlement, Sobranie, constituted on Tuesday by verifying the deputies’ mandates, the Beta news agency reported.
The Sobranie was formed on the last day of the legal deadline, but the MPs did not choose the Parliament speaker since the ruling majority had not yet been formed.
The winner at the July 15 early general elections, the Social-Democrats, said they would immediately start negotiations on a new coalition government.
It won 46 out of 120 parliament’s seats.
The runner-up, the nationalist VMRO DPMNE, won 44 mandates.
The Social-Democrats could look for coalition partners among smaller parties, including those from the Albanian minority.
