Montenegro’s national coordination body for infectious diseases has shortened the coronavirus pandemic quarantine from 21 to 14 days, a press release said.
It said that quarantine and self-isolation continues to be mandatory for anyone who was in contact with people infected with the coronavirus or who show symptoms. Isolation for people hospitalized is also being shortened.
The press release said that the decision was taken in line with recommendations by relevant international organization and practices in the European Union, Great Britain, US, Japan and other countries and after consulations with the Public Health Institute.
Patients who did or did not show symptoms at least 14 days after testing positive are no longer dangerous to their surroundings, the coordination body said.
