North Macedonia to deploy soldiers in Kosovo

The North Macedonia government said on Tuesday that it would deploy an army platoon to the NATO mission in Kosovo by the end of the year.

A press release said that official Skoplje had informed the KFOR command of its decision and instructed the Defense Ministry to prepare the deployment of the 45-strong platoon which will include command staff in Kosovo by the end of 2020 and report to the government by December 15.

According to the Defense Ministry web site, North Macedonia has provided logistics support to KFOR since 1999.
