The Belgrade city authorities have invited offers for part of the Beogradjanka skyscraper, the eKapija portal said on Wednesday.

The city authorities set the starting price at 20.6 million Euro for 19,000 square meters of office and commercial space in the building located in the center of the city. Buyers have to agree to reconstruct the building at an investment of no less than eight million Euro over a period of three years.

The 24 story building officially named Belgrade Palace was built in the 1970s is one of the symbols of the Serbian capital, housing a department store, offices and the Studio B radio and TV station which was once owned by the city but was sold to someone who is allegedly close to the authorities.
