North Macedonia’s nationals vote on Wednesday in an early general election for the third day in a row after those positive on coronavirus, sick people and inmates have cast ballots on Monday and Tuesday, the Beta news agency reported.
Wednesday is declared as non-working day, and the polling stations will be opened until 9 pm, two hours longer than usual, to avoid too many people there at the same time.
The decision to hold the three-day voting was made due to many cases of infected with coronavirus and victims to COVID-19 in the country.
Fifteen electoral lists are competing in the early race that followed the resignation of former Prime Minister Zoran Zaev, whose Social-democratic Alliance has a slight advantage over the nationalist VMRO DPMNE according to the pre-election opinion polls.
