Leader of the Serbian opposition party Dveri Bosko Obradovic noted on Sunday that total civil disobedience is needed for the current government to fall.

"All these years, the government, through the controlled media, has been imposing false news about some kind of violence produced by opposition leaders, and lately about the violence of citizens justifiably protesting in the streets of Serbia. The opposite is true: the only ones committing violence against all of us are government representatives,” Obradovic said in a statement.

"All democratic methods of fighting such undemocratic and criminal authorities are allowed," the statement said. "This includes collective strikes and work stoppages in all areas of the society, blockades of state institutions and roads."

Obradovic also called on prominent public figures to speak out and side with the rebelled people, as well as the army and police not to allow themselves to be misused to defend the "criminal regime" and to side with their people.
