President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday that a curfew would be imposed in Belgrade from Friday to Monday because of what he called an alarming situation in the Serbian capital.
Vucic told a media conference that the situation in Belgrade is critical. He said that all gatherings of more than five people in public places are banned and added that pet owners and old age pensioners and mothers with small children would be allowed out of their homes at certain times.
“There are 120 people on ventilators right now. The situation in Belgrade is alarming and serious in four other places in Serbia,” Vucic said.
