Marinika Tepic, a deputy leader of Serbia's opposition Party of Freedom and Justice (SPP), accused on Tuesday the authorities of allowing Arameks company to trade arms despite that it was linked to "the notorious arms dealer, the largest in the region, Slobodan Tesic who is on the US blacklist," the Beta news agency reported.

She demanded that the Trade Ministry and President Aleksandar Vucic comment on what she said and explain "until when they will create problems for Serbia and risk our lives by issuing permits for arms trade with countries which are under the UN embargo."

"Arameks is a new name for the company linked to Slobodan Tesic and the director of his companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Kapetin who (Bosnian Serbs' leader) Milorad Dodik appointed to head the Republika Srpska Direction for arms and military equipment trade, an equivalent to our J.P. Jugoimport-SDPR," the state-owned arms dealer, Tepic said.

She added that both Tesic and Kapetina were under the European Union sanctions for "being accused of bribing politicians and prosecutors by paying for their children education for years."
