N1 television's headquarters in Luxembourg sent a letter to Serbia's Regulatory Body for Electronic Media (REM), via e-mail and post, to urgently provide their interpretation of the Regulation regarding Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic's election video where he appears with a minor, but the REM is yet to respond.

Meanwhile, N1 asked the Luxembourg regulatory body to provide their comment on the issue, as well.

N1 recalls that after the Serbian Progressive Party's (SNS) election video, in which a child appears with the SNS leader and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, started airing on local televisions, the public asked whether this propaganda video violated the Regulation on the protection of rights of minors in the field of media services.

The Ordinance states, inter alia: "The use of participation of minors in programmes intended for political purposes or to otherwise abuse that participation is prohibited.”
