A senior Environment Ministry official has tested positive for the coronavirus, Belgrade daily Blic reported on its web site on Tuesday.

Environment Minister Goran Trivan confirmed that his State Secretary Branislav Blazic had been hospitalized at the Infectious Diseases Clinic in Belgrade. “He is at the infective diseases clinic in Belgrade and is in stable condition,” Trivan said.

Media reports said that Blazic is from Kikinda, a town in Vojvodina which is thought to be a hotbed of the coronavirus.
