The Serbian Health Ministry reported another six COVID-19 coronavirus cases in the country on Wednesday evening, bringing the total to 18 confirmed cases.

“A total of 18 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have been registered in Serbia as of 8:00 pm on March 11, 2020,” the ministry’s covid19.rs web site said.

The press release added that the country’s top laboratory at the Torlak Institute had tested a total of 151 people who showed criteria of coronavirus infection.

Earlier on Wednesday, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that indoor events attended by more than 100 people were banned and appealed for people who had been in the countries worst affected by the coronavirus outbreak to contact their local medical centers.

The World Health Organization declared a COVID-19 pandemic, the first coronavirus pandemic ever.
