The Slovenian police discovered 30 illegal migrants from Iraq, Syria, Iran and Afganistan, including 12 children, on freight train which carried clay from Serbia, the FoNet news agency reported on Wednesday.

The border police found the illegal migrants on the Dobova border crossing with Croatia inside the train with 20 wagons.

The children are between five and 14 years of age. The group includes a pregnant woman, and three people who needed medical attention, Slovenia’s Novo Mesto police said.

The police added that the migrants travelled in life-threatening conditions due to the lack of oxygen and hardened clay on the surface.
