The international organisation Reporters Without Borders (RSF) calls on Serbia's authorities on Wednesday to stop with intimidation of journalists, recalling that slanders, public insults and threats to journalists cannot be tolerated, the FoNet news agency reported.

Commenting on attacks on the authors of the 'Ruler' documentary about the political career of Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic, RSF tweeted that media pluralism and freedom of expression were a necessity in a democratic society.

"Following the airing of the documentary, the authors and those who took part in it were repeatedly insulted by the members of the ruling coalition, while N1 TV official car was damaged," RSF said.

It added that the Minister of Education Mladen Sarcevic labelled a reporter who asked him a question 'a bully' and that Vanja Djuric, N1 journalist, was the target of vilification, while her colleague Zaklina Tatalovic's private photos were published on social networks.
