The MPs in Serbia’s Parliament voted on Monday in favour of the Law on Memorial Centre ‘Staro Sajmiste’ in Belgrade proposed by the Government as the “fulfilment of duty and lasting memory of the victims of Holocaust, genocide and the occupier’s terror and crime,” the Beta news agency reported.

The Memorial Centre will cherish the culture of memory of the victims and historical events that happened at the site of current Staro Sajmiste place where Nazis’ ‘Jewish Camp Zemun’ and ‘Reception Camp Zemun’ existed during the WW II.

The Centre will collect, classify, maintain and exhibit the material from museums, archives and films about that period.

At their Monday’s session, the MPs also ratified the Agreement of free trade with Euro-Asia Economic Union and its member states, as well as an additional protocol on the Agreement on Free Trade with Central Europe.
