The head of the Kosovo Humanitarian Law Fund Bekim Blakaj called the authorities to identify the remains of more than 400 people kept in the morgue of the Forensic Institute in Pristina.

“If those bodies were identified, the number of missing persons would drop by 25 percent and that is important for the familiies. The institutions, scuh as the government Missing Persons Commission, should engage more in the identification process,” he told a meeting on missing persons in Gracanica.

The gathering demanded more intensive cooperation between the Kosovo and Serbian Missing Persons Commissions to determine the fate of the 1,653 persons who are still listed as missing, the Kosovo state TV (RTK) reported.
