Ana Brnabic, Serbia’s Prime Minister, told the GovTech Summit in Paris on Thursday, that the digital transformation in her country was based on three pillars: education, public services and business environment, the Beta news agency quoted the Government statement.
The GovTech Summit is organised by the technological start-up PUBLIC, supported by the French President Emmanuel Macron and Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo.
Brnabic told the Summit that people in Serbia begun to trust the process.
Addressing the “Creation of Conditions for European GovTech Moment” panel, Brnabic said the digitalisation was her Government priority and that the results were visible to the people.
She added the digital transformation of public services would contribute to the elimination of corruption, saying the process in the business environment supported the innovations and start-ups.
Brnabic told reporters after the session that Serbia and Estonia were recognised as leaders in digitalisation in Europe and added its importance to her country’s economy, start-ups and innovation companies.
She said that what Serbia had done in the digitalization should now be presented to the investment funds which would be ready to invest in Serbia.
Brnabic added she thus hoped for “serious influx of finances” from investment funds in 2020.
