Cambridge University declared a three-day mourning period after the death of Serbia-born student of the Trinity College Mihajlo Sporic, the recipient of numerous awards at the local and international competition in physics, astronomy, mathematics and other sciences, Beta news agency reported.

Sporic graduated from the Mathematical Grammar School in Belgrade and he held the Vuk’s Award, St Sava’s Award, was the winner of several golden medals at the International Physics Olympiad in Switzerland, the competitions in Kazakhstan and Romania.

Cambridge University received the proposal to establish an award in honour of Mihajlo, the student of the final year at the Trinity College.

Mihajlo will be buried in Belgrade at the new cemetery.
