Serbia”s President Aleksandar Vucic told the state RTS TV on Tuesday night that if Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic and his father had links to dubious arms trade deals, they would be held responsible, the FoNet news agency reported.

During the Upitnik (Question Mark) political talk show, Vucic said he himself would be responsible if he violated the law, adding both him and Stefanovic were ready to take a polygraph test and that Minister’s father was “just an employ” in the GIM company, a private firm trading in arms.

“What that means? A baker cannot be a member of the Agriculture Minister Branislav Nedimovic ‘s family because he uses grain from our fields,” Vucic asked.

He added he had never been involved in the arms trade.

Regarding other issues, Vucic said Finance Minister Sinisa Mali had already been labelled as a plagiarist by those who were studying for 15 years; reiterated that some ministers would not be in the next government; stated he did not intend to buy Russian rocket S-400 system; and said again the Belgrade – Pristina dialogue on the normalisation of relations could resume after Kosovo lifted the import tariffs on goods from Serbia, adding Belgrade would stop its campaign for the withdrawal of Kosovo’s recognition if Pristina stooped its campaign for new recognitions.
