President Aleksandar Vucic told European Union Delegation chief Sem Fabrizi that Serbia is committed to regional cooperation, a statement from the president’s press service said.
Vucic is quoted as saying that next weekend’s meeting in the North Macedonia resort of Ohrid will define the priorities of regional cooperation with the aim of making the region stronger economically. Vucic said that Serbia has to continue on its European path and that support from the EU is very important in implementing reforms and in terms of regional cooperation.
Fabrizi expressed full support for Serbia’s path to the EU and added that reforms have to be continued, especially in the field of rule of law. He reiterated the importance of creating an atmosphere conducive to a speedy resumption of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and reaching a legally binding agreement to normalize their relations as soon as possible.
The statement said that they also discussed environmental issues.
