Serbia’s Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin told his Russian counterpart Sergey Soyga that his country would remain militarily neutral and as long as Aleksandar Vucic was the President, Serbia would not join either NATO or any other army alliance, the Beta news agency reported on Monday.

Thanking Russia for celebrating the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Belgrade in Moscow, Vulin said “Serbia has never been on a wrong side, and many big countries could learn from us,” a statement from Vulin's office said, adding the two met in Beijing at the sidelines of the Shangshan Fair.

Army general Soyga reiterated the invitation to Vucic and the Army of Serbia (VS) to take part in the parade in Moscow next year on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the victory in WW II.

The two ministers agreed that the army and military-technical cooperation between Serbia and Russia were active and would develop further.
