Former French Ambassador in Belgrade Frederic Mondoloni said on Thursday that Paris is prepared to organize a meeting between officials from Belgrade and Pristina once the new Kosovo government is formed.
“We want to organize a meeting, together with Germany, if that can speed up the process,” Mondoloni said at the 9th Belgrade Security Forum.
He said that France full supports the mediation of the European Union in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, adding that the process should be coordinated with the United States. According to the ambassador, France view the Balkans as an important region in which it wants to have a greater presence. He said that official Paris definitively sees the future of the region in the EU which will not be complete without the Western Balkans. “There is no doubt about that,” Mondoloni said.
