Abelard Tahiri, Kosovo’s Justice Minister said on Wednesday he received a call from The Hague-based Special Court for Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) war crime during 1998-199 armed conflict with military and police forces from Belgrade, the Beta news agency reported.
He added he had had “an intensive communication” with the Special Court this year and due to some unclear details he expected the call.
“I was summoned two weeks ago by the Special Prosecutors as a witness. I was not surprised,” Tahiri said.
On Tuesday, the Prosecution summoned Kosovo’s former MP Fadil Beka, an LDK’s doctor during the Kosovo war.
Besides Beka, two former KLA fighters, Fatmir Sopi and Sejdi Veseli, were also summoned to The Hague.
Hisni Gucati, the head of the KLA Veterans’ Association, said the Court had summoned more than a 100 former KLA members either as suspects or witnesses so far.
