Aleksandar Vucic, Serbia’s President, asked the UK ambassador to Kosovo Nicholas Abbott whose elections did Albin Kurti and his Vetëvendosje (Self-determination) movement won in Kosovo after the Albanian flag was posted during the Kurti – Abbott meeting in Pristina, the Beta news agency reported on Wednesday.
Vucic tweeted in Serbian Cyrillic that he would continue to ask Abbott until he received an answer.
“Question for the UK ambassador to Pristina: Whose elections Kurti and his party won and whose flag it was under which you, Your Excellency, were so proudly photographed with Kurti? I’ll be asking you that until I get an answer,” Vucic wrote.
The answer came almost immediately. The UK embassy also tweeted its reply, saying “we did not choose how our interlocutor, acting in a party capacity, arranged his rooms.
