Belgrade deputy Mayor Goran Vesic said on Friday that a plot of land at the Marina Dorcol site was sold for 3.8 billion Dinars in a public auction.
“Besides that income of almost 32 million Euros, the city budget will get construction land duties worth another 10 million Euros,” he is quoted as saying by the Beoinfo news service.
Only one bid was made at the auction for the sale of four hectares of land. The bid equaled the assessed value of the land. The city authorities will provide access to the site by building two roads. The investor has to restore the old power plant which is a listed building and renovate the marina which will be handed to the city.
