A senior official of the Kosovo Foreign Ministry on Wednesday called for the arrest of an advisor to Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, the Kosovo state TV (RTK) reported.
The Foreign Minister’s advisor Jetlir Zyberaj said in a statement that the Kosovo Prosecutor’s Office should issue an international arrest warrant for Dacic's advisor Vladimir Cizelj who he said had committed acts against the sovereignty of Kosovo.
Zyberaj alleged that Cizelj is “linked to international organized crime networks and is deeply involved in corruption across the world on behalf o Dacic”.
“The Kosovo Prosecutor's Office must issue an international arrest warrant against this person, as he has caused an attack on Kosovo's sovereignty through criminal activities,” he is quoted as saying by the RTK.
Kosovo officials have said repeatedly over the past few days that one of Dacic's advisors was involved in corrupting officials of countries which have recognized Kosovo to persuade them to issue diplomatic notes and other documents revoking that recognition.
