The police in North Macedonia arrested a former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) trooper under an arrest warrant issued by Serbia, Pristina media reported on Wednesday.
The FoNet news agency reported that former KLA member Tomor Morina had been arrested and added that his arrest was condemned by the Kosovo Foreign Ministry. Foreign Ministry official Jetlir Zuberaj said that “this is another example of the political abuses that Serbia is doing with these arrest warrants”.
He said that the Pristina authorities would raise the issue with the European Union to prevent similar cases. “If that does not happen, Kosovo will take countermeasures,” Zuberaj said.
He said that Pristina was in contact with the authorities in Skoplje to resolve the case.
