Brussels has received the information about Ramush Haradinaj’s decision to resign from the post of Kosovo Prime Minister, Maja Kocijancic, Spokesperson for European Union’s Foreign Affairs and Security Policy told Serbian media.
“We don’t have any further comments at this moment,” Kocijancic said for Tanjug new agency.
European Union is the main mediator in the Belgrade-Pristina talks on the normalisation of relations, and it has been emphasising the talks should be held in the form that both sides confirmed, which includes Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and his Kosovo counterpart Hashim Thaci as main negotiators.
Haradinaj’s resignation triggered a series of reactions, with Kosovo officials supporting the decision and Serbian President saying that this was a political ploy.
