Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic's vocabulary in the text "Plebs and the elite" published by Politika daily, is neither fitting for a newspaper nor a holder of a public office, let alone the president, journalist Danica Vucenic told N1, adding that one can only feel ashamed after hearing such a vocabulary.
She asked whom the President was speaking to and whom does he consider the elite? Is it the professor Ognjen Radonjic who, she said, insulted Vucic when he said there are people living below the poverty line in Serbia.
“Or is he talking to Professor Milojko Arsic who said that Serbia's economic growth is not as presented by the authorities? Or was he talking to the opposition and its leaders,” Vucenic asked, adding that she believes the essence of the text is at its very end in the sentence in which Vucic said the people will know whom to vote for.
"The text is written using a vocabulary not fitted for either politics or a newspaper, and it is written in order to be quoted by the media his voters watch. By quoting Max Weber and Zoran Djindjic, he tried to sooth the elite, but he realized that he could not make them into his subjects. After that, he asked for the signatures of his own elite,” noting that the President neither has the support of the elite nor the citizen nor the nationalists.
