The Serbian President’s media advisor Suzana Vasiljevic has been appointed to the board of the Serbian Basketball Association (KSS).
“I was appointed at the suggestion of the KSS who want to use their reputation and influence at the World Basketball Championships to promote Serbia and join in all marketing activities aimed at raising the country’s reputation,” she told the Insajder portal, adding that she is not getting paid to do the job.
She said the KSS felt that her connections in the media in Serbia, the region and the world qualified her to work with them to promote the country abroad.
The KSS told Insajder that new members to the board included Raifeissen Bank board Chairman Zoran Petrovic, Triglav Insurance board president Dragan Markovic and MPC Holding CEO Aleksandar Seratlic. KSS sources said the idea was to bring these people in to the KSS to see how the money that the state and sponsors are securing for international competitions is being spent.
