Belgrade advocates cooperation with other international bodies within the Organisation of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), Serbia’s Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic has said on Tuesday, adding the partnership with the European Union remained the country’s priority, the FoNet news agency reported.
Addressing the Ministerial conference on BSEC member states’ cooperation with the EU, Dacic said the benefit was mutual, not only because of the geography but because the economic progress of the Black Sea countries was in the direct interest of the EU.
The Minister added his country favoured the modernisation of the existing and building new infrastructure because it was a basis for firmer links at the national as well as at the international levels.
“Faster flow of people and goods gives the economy an incentive. Strong economies help the progress of other social values, stable standards, culture and ease the achievement of the regional common goals,” Dacic said.
