Bosnia and Herzegovina is not and will never be a Muslim country like the Bosniaks want, Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic said in Laktasi, the northern Bosnian town which hosted a rally of the main Serb party in Bosnia on Saturday.

Besides Dacic, the rally was also attended by the ambassadors of Russia and China in Bosnia.

“Bosnia and Herzegovina is not and will never be a Muslim country like the Bosniaks want. Let's not exaggerate now, I'm starting to look like Mile (Milorad) Dodik now,” said Serbia's Foreign Minister, whose speech was welcomed by thunderous applauding.

SNSD, the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats, the ruling party in Bosnia's Serb-majority region, Republika Srpska, unanimously re-elected Milorad Dodik to the post of the party leader. The party's Main Board and Statutory Supervisory Commission were appointed as well.

He thanked the delegates who voted him and said it was his honour to be at the helm of the strongest political party in Republika Srpska.

“We will work together on achieving our goals which are well-known. SNSD remains the power of Republika Srpska and its people,” said Dodik, the hardline nationalist Bosnian Serb leader, who has been often advocating the entity's secession and its merging with neighbourly Serbia.

Bosnia consists of two semi-autonomous regions, Republika Srpska dominated by the Serbs and Federation (FBiH) which is dominated by the Bosniaks and the Croats. The three ethnic groups are according to the Constitution considered constituent peoples in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
