Kosovo President Hashim Thaci said he would not allow the forming of the Community of Serb Municipalities (CSM).
Pristina daily Zeri quoted him as saying that the forming of that body would be the same as the forming of a Republika Srpska (the Serb entity in Bosnia-Herzegovina) in Kosovo.
“It’s true that I agreed to the forming of the CSM earlier but things have changed and we cannot allow that in exchange for the liberalization of the visa regime (with the European Union),” Thaci said.
The Kosovo president said the EU has turned its back on Pristina since a decision on the visa liberalization has not been taken three years after it was recommended.
He added that the tariffs imposed by Pristina on goods from Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina must also remain in place.
