Albanian President Ilir Meta spoke out against the idea of uniting all ethnic Albanians in one state, the Kosovo state TV (RTK) reported.
“We keep hearing questions about why all Albanians aren’t uniting but in that case why shouldn’t all Serbs, Croats and Bosniaks do the same,” he said at a conference on security challenges in the Balkans in Tirana.
Meta said that changing borders is not an easy thing to do and added that his country has an opportunity to become an element of peace in the Balkans.
“Changing borders is not that easy. We known how good relations are between Montenegro and Kosovo but we also know what happened to their border demarcation agreement. Let me be clear. We have an opportunity to be a factor of stability,” the Albanian president said.
