NATO Joint Forces Commander chief Admiral James Foggo said that the transition of the Kosovo Security Forces would be transparent and coordinated with the international community.

The transition of those forces into a military will be transparent, comprehensive and in close coordination with NATO and the international community, the admiral said during a visit to Pristina.

Foggo met with Kosovo Defense Minister Rustem Berisha and Security Forces commander General Rahman Rama to discuss the security situation and a safe and peaceful environment for the entire population, a press release said and added that he lent support to the transition plan for the Kosovo Security Forces.

NATO remains engaged in Kosovo to secure a peaceful and safe environment in Kosovo and stability in the wider region of the Western Balkans, it said.
