The only Kosovo official to call for a suspension of the 100 percent tariffs imposed on goods from Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina now says that he has changed his mind and wants the tariffs to remain in place.

Parliament Speaker Kadri Veseli said he had changed his mind about a suspension of the tariffs for 120 days given the current political situation. “What argument do we have to remove them now,” he told the KTV station in Pristina.

Veseli said he advocated a suspension of the tariffs early this year so that the international community would not think that the Kosovo authorities were blocking the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.
