Workers at the Tigar Tires plant were evacuated after a bomb threat was phoned in, the Tigar company said in a statement on Monday.

The bomb threat was phoned in to the Tigar head office in the town of Pirot at 07:00 am, prompting the evacuation of staff from the plant. 

It added that the police were informed immediatelly. “The police have undertaken measures within their jurisdiction,” the statement said.  

No possible reason was given for the bomb threat.
