A number of impounded cars were damaged when a fire broke out in the police impound lot in the northern Serbian city of Subotica on Monday.

N1 was told that 17 impounded vehicles were set ablaze on Monday evening when the lawns around the police station caught fire.

The fire was put out by the city fire brigade. The police and firefighters said they are investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
