New opposition party formed in Serbia Izvor: N1

The constitutional session of the new Party of Freedom and Justice, founded by Dragan Djilas, former Mayor of Belgrade, ex-leader of the Democratic Party (DS) and a member of the opposition Alliance for Serbia (SzS) group, N1 reported.

The session was held in the only opposition municipality in Belgrade, Stari Grad, in the centre of the capital less than a kilometre away from a massive gathering of President Aleksandar Vucic and his Serbian Progressive Party (SNS).

Djilas said his party would be a political option which would not run away from problems and would offer suggestions.

The party would focus on economic and educational developments, and, as Djilas pointed out, on solving the Kosovo issue, adding he would advocate a declaration on reconciliation which should be endorsed by both (Belgarde and Pristina) parliaments.
